1975 Receives degree in art history.
1977-1980 Moves to New York City and works in the archive of Magnum Photos.Studies photography with Lisette Model at The New School For Social
Research and Julio Mitchel at the School of Visual Arts.
1980's First commercial assignment; covers the Newport Jazz Festival.
Documents New York Jazz scene; photographing such musicians as Cecil Taylor, Dizzy Gillespie, John Zorn and Gil Evans. Works on a personal body of work where family and friends are presented in a dark poetic sphere. Exhibits at Union Square Gallery, New York.
1990's Moves to Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Frequently visits New York and work is published in both the USA and Europe. Assignments now change to emphasize portraiture. Photographs such literary giants as Jerzy Kosinski, Derek Walcott and Ian McEwan as well as art world notables like Robert Frank. Continues with personal work which is exhibited in The Netherlands and USA.
2000-to the present Continues working commercially with regular assignments from RVU (Dutch public television/radio broadcasting). Continues making personal images which are often exhibited and collected.
